*PROF OBIARAERI HAILS SUPREME COURT ON IMO GUBERNATORIAL JUDGEMENT AND CONGRATULATES SENATOR HOPE UZODINMA AND APC FOR THE VICTORY

I firstly congratulate the Supreme Court, the apex and final court of justice and policy, for having the courage to give legal and political justice to Imo people via this landmark judgement.

It is often said that “Let justice be done even if the heavens fall”.

This is expressed in the Latin Maxim “Fiat justitia ruat caelum.”

In this Imo Governorship judgement, heaven is not falling and Imolites of all zonal, political and religious divides are joyous and in jubilant celebration mood.

By this considered judgement, a brutal dictator and usurper of the Office of the Governor of Imo State in the last eight months has been judicially toppled and a new and refreshing democratic vista entrenched for Imo State.

The judgement is a locus clasicus as it has enlarged the concourse of our electoral jurisprudence in Nigeria.

It remains to warmly and sincerely congratulate Senator Hope Uzodinma and our great party APC on this well deserved victory.

Senator Uzodinma, who can correctly be regarded as political Octopus, has by this victory redefined the electoral architecture and calendar in Imo State of Nigeria.

Imo State has returned to the safe hands of APC.

I am optimistic that as an experienced Senator and incoming APC Governor, he will do well in office even as Imolites are more than anxious to give him support and co-operation.

A Daniel has truly come to judgement…
