Mbadinuju was the governor of Anambra State when insecurity was rife in Anambra in 1999. He brought in Bakassi Boys which solved the robbery but later became political tools. They were banned by Obasanjo.
When Ngige governed from 2003 to 2006, there was nothing like Bakassi Boys in Anambra.
Then kidnapping spilled over from the Southsouth into Anambra around 2008. #PeterObi introduced measures that stopped it, including seizing property used by kidnappers. Anambra State became safe again.
That safety and security continued like that until 2015 when Buhari and APC happened to Nigeria, and all parts of the country became engulfed in one crisis or the other.
The moment Buhari and APC leave with their divisive and tribalistic attitude towards governance next year, peace will return to most parts of the country again.
Leadership is everything!
