Lagos Ban on Okada.
I just left Lagos Island or erstwhile Lagos Colony where I’ve been observing the ban on Okada and Keke from a military facility.
The ban is tough on commuters no doubt. I trekked from CMS to Freedom Park. Not easy to get a cab unless you do uber or taxify that are at peak engagement now.
But I’m relieved that the threats that informed the ban have been largely dislodged from the 15 LGs that constitute the economic nerve center of Nigeria.
The ban is a product of an almost belated real time, actionable Intel ignored till alarm signals rang shrilly and the Lagos State Security Council met and did the needful.
All those making light of the palpable dangers we face should be ignored.
